SFI Getting Started

Dear Team Members:

I've put together a list of suggestions that may make it easier for many of you to get started. I know this is a lot of information, but keep it handy.

First ~ Learn the Infrastructure of SFI. I cannot stress this enough. It will be crucial to your success down the road. You will not be able to answer your own referral's questions if you don't know the answers yourself. Don't try and learn everything in one day. It won't happen. You should be in this for the long haul. If you haven't completed Smart Start <http://www.sfimarketing.com/SmartStart/>,
do so ASAP! Go thru 3-5 times to help things sink in.

Second ~ After you have completed the "No Spam" agreement, (this is included in the Smart Start series) your gateways are activated. You can view them from the ADMIN area at The SFIMG Resource Center

Log in, and you will find a link that list all your gateways URLs with your ID # attached.

Third ~ Set goals. Set aside a certain number of hours you'll work on this business and then stick with it. If you're only able to give 2 or 3 hours a week then start with that. You'd be surprised at how much you'll learn in the course of a month. The biggest mistake I see people making is doing "Nothing".

In the meantime, here are some simple suggestions to start out with. Do some of them, do all of them. Just Get started !!!

A: Start by telling all your friends, relatives, neighbors, coworkers and business associates about this great Work-At-Home Program you stumbled onto. Looks very professional doesn't it? You bet! That's what your referrals will think too.

At the SFIMG Resource Center, you will find a link telling how to keycode your ads. Use #s from 1-999 (4 digit #s are reserved for Corporate use). These will help you to determine which ads
are working best for you when you get new affiliates and sales. Keep a list of sites where you place your ads so you can track the keycodes. More on keycodes at:

B: Take a moment to register with the SFI Discussion Board This is a Members Only Board where you'll learn and share ideas with other new SFI Affiliates and Veterans. It's probably the most useful tool I use in running my home business.

C: Some people like to start out by advertising their free website Off Line. I personally started this way and there are literally hundreds and possibly thousands of ways to do it. Just replace the "Contact Information" with your own. Or, if you're creative, make up your own. Set up your flyer here:

Print this out.

Some of the places you may find useful to put up your flyers
are:

Supermarket Bulletin Boards;

Laundromats;

College Bulletin Boards

Bus Stops

Senior Citizen's Centers or Housing Developments
(Tons of older Americans Looking to keep busy)

Walk your neighborhood and put them in mailboxes if you want
(Good way to get to know your neighbors)

Go to your local mall and hand them out

Leave one in a library book

Put one in the envelope with your telephone bill.

Leave some at the student union at your local university

Put one in your car window (I get tons of sign-ups from that)

Christmas Is coming.... Put your URL on the back of
Your cards. Who doesn't turn over a card? I know I do !!

In other words, be creative.

Ask yourself....What would get MY attention and then go for it.

D: If you have friends or relatives who have home pages or websites, ask if you can put your link to your website on their pages or websites. If you have business cards for another business. Write or stamp your new home business URL on the back.

Now some of you are brand new to SFI and may not know what to have printed on your "Free" business cards so I have laid out a guideline below. This is merely a guideline. This is the information I had printed on my own.

This is a Fast Start Plan that I still used today. Some of the links to advertising sites and Ezines may not work (they are constantly changing).

In short , these are all "free" ways to get started. I could go on and on forever. You don't have to spend a fortune while you're learning this business. Start out slowly. Word of mouth is one of the "best" advertising there is and the other things are merely a matter of being creative. If you're not creative, there are tons of people in your line who ARE. Just ask. That's why the word "Team" is in "Teamwork."
